Which Treatment Is Right for Me

Desert Light, Rough Texture: Procell for Acne Scars in Las Vegas

Noon. Car visor down. Mirror open. Every bump and old acne mark looks sharper than it did at home this morning.

That's desert light. Hard overhead sun casts tiny shadows on anything that isn't flat, so texture and old scars stand out more here.

This guide covers what Procell microchanneling is, who it suits, what a visit looks like, and how to care for your skin after it in the Las Vegas climate.

This article is for education, not diagnosis. If you have a medical concern about your skin, see a board-certified dermatologist.

01Why desert skin shows texture

The desert doesn't cause scars. It just makes them easier to see.

  • Hard, direct light. Midday sun hits from above, so raised and dipped areas catch shadow.
  • Dry air and A/C. Dry-feeling skin can look duller and less smooth, which draws the eye to texture.
  • Years of sun. Our Procell page mentions Las Vegas sun spots, uneven tone and UV-related discoloration. These can sit alongside scarring.

None of this means your skin is in bad shape. Desert light is just honest.

02Procell in plain English

Procell is a form of microchanneling. Our Procell page breaks it into three parts:

  1. Microchannels. A precision stamping device makes many small, uniform channels in the skin.
  2. Serums. Stem cell-derived peptide and growth factor serums go into those channels.
  3. Your skin's repair. Over the following weeks, your skin's natural healing response, which involves collagen and elastin, does its work.

Procell works with your skin's own repair process. Any change is gradual, not overnight, and it varies from person to person.

03Who it suits, and who should ask first

Our Procell page says it's for guests focused on scars, fine lines or texture who want channeling with stem-cytokine serums. People often look at it for rolling, boxcar and post-inflammatory acne scars as a non-laser option. It's offered for all skin types.

Talk with us, and your doctor where needed, before booking if any of these apply:

  • An active skin infection, cold sore or open wound in the treatment area
  • Medications that may not suit needling-style treatments, including acne medication
  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding
  • You can't follow aftercare, including staying out of heat and sun as directed

Procell carries the same medical cautions as microneedling. We screen at your consultation. If you're unsure, ask your provider first.

04What a visit looks like

First, a conversation. Your esthetician looks at your skin, asks about your goals and history, and checks that Procell is a good fit.

Before you come in. Your esthetician will tell you how to prep, including any products to pause. You can book online.

During. Your esthetician uses the stamping device on the areas you discussed, then applies the serums.

After. Some redness is common. Your esthetician will tell you what to expect and when to resume your usual routine.

05How many sessions will I need?

It depends on your skin and goals. Scars and texture are often treated as a series, and our page notes series visits are often spaced about four weeks apart. Your esthetician builds a plan at your consultation and explains what's realistic before you commit.

06Desert aftercare

Las Vegas sun and dry air make aftercare matter more. Your esthetician will give you a plan for your skin. Our Procell page lists the basics:

  • Cleanse gently
  • Hydrate
  • Protect with SPF
  • Pause actives as directed
  • Skip heat and sweat until your skin has cleared

Follow your plan, and call us if anything feels off.

Can I do it in summer in Las Vegas?

Talk with your esthetician about timing. Whatever the season, you'll need to protect your skin with SPF and skip heat and sweat until it has cleared, so plan around pool days and outdoor workouts.
